I am a photographer and artist from Nova Scotia, Canada. My main interest is birds as well as other wildlife. I create pieces of art with a mindset catered to the amazing wonders of nature and uniqueness. This is something I hope to share with everyone that comes into contact with my work.<3

As many know, birds are my favorite animal and a fascination. The Loon, in particular, holds significance for me and my family, as it is a common bird that lives on the lake where my family resides.

Sometimes, when going into paintings, I have no plan in mind. That is exactly what happened here with Berry Mousie, and I found it was a lot harder to finish the painting due to this. While I love how it turned out, a lot of the planning didn't happen until I had already started picking an animal. I have realized this isn't always a bad thing, as most people say, "Make it exist before you make it great."

This Blue Tit painting was my first attempt at a non-native bird in Canada. I wanted to expand my knowledge of birds worldwide, and this one especially jumped out to me with striking colors. I enjoy seeing animals from different countries and parts of the world, because there's always something unique and beautiful in each place.

Accidental Christmas was one of the only paintings I was able to do for my late Grandfather. It holds a special place in my heart, and is one I will never get rid of. I remember spending hours trying to get the perfect colors and shape, and this was actually the second attempt. I learned that not everything needs to be perfect to be beautiful, but it is perfect to me because it was his request. Another thing I love about this painting, is that it wasn't supposed to resemble Christmas colors, he originally suggested them because he liked them, but afterwards we had a little laugh about it. Christmas was also his favorite holiday.

Happy dance was made exactly as the title suggests. I was dancing happily when I made it, listening to music as I splashed colors onto the board. It was one of my first paintings, and my biggest one too. Everytime I look at it, I smile, because I was happy.

Blues was a painting I had a hard time making. It wasn't difficult to put the colors on, but it was difficult in how I felt to make it. At the time I was very sad, and just wanted to put colors on a canvas and scrape it around with a spatula tool. I learned later after making it, that some people originally thought it looked like water, and others saw trees when put into portrait mode. To me, it just proves that even if something isn't your best work, and you didn't feel good making it, it can still be something amazing to other people.
